Peter Bjorn and John gründeten sich 1999 in Stockholm. Sie haben eine Vorliebe für den Sound des Baroque Pop der 60er Jahre und lassen diesen, genau wie Power Pop und New Wave, in ihre Musik mit einfließen. Die Band besteht aus Peter Morén (Gesang, Gitarre, Harmonika), Björn Yttling (Gesang, Bass und Keyboard) und John Eriksson (Schlagzeug, Percussion und Gesang).
