Die Hollywood Vampires sind eine prominent besetzte Band: Neben Frontmann Alice Cooper und Aerosmith-Gitarrist Joe Perry tritt hier Hollywoodstar Johnny Depp als Gitarrist auf. Depp hatte über die Jahre schon bei Musikern wie Marilyn Manson und Oasis Gastauftritte hingelegt und war in den Neunzigern Teil der Alternative-Rock-Gruppe P. Die Hollywood Vampires wurden 2015 gegründet und gaben ihr Debüt im September des Jahres im Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood; zu den Bühnenmusikern zählten Guns'n'Roses-Bassist Duff McKagan und Guns'n'Roses-Drummer Matt Sorum, als Gäste traten Tom Morello, Geezer Butler, Perry Farrell und Marilyn Manson auf. Ebenfalls im September erschien das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum der Gruppe, auf dem Gäste wie Paul McCartney, Slash, Christopher Lee und Dave Grohl zu hören waren.
