Beschreibe eine deiner frühesten musikalischen Erinnerungen im Detail. One of my earliest musical memories is listening to my grandparents sing in their church's choir. I still remember how enchanted 5-year-old me was listening to them singing Bach, Händel, and some very old Christmas carols.
Was sind deine 3 absoluten Lieblingsalben bei Apple Music und warum? Warum hast du dich gerade für diese drei Alben entschieden? Anna Meredith, Fibs Attacca Quartet, Caroline Shaw: Orange Radiohead, Kid A Kid A because that's what love-sick, melancholic, seventeen-year-old me was listening to religiously (I still steal Thom Yorke's piano voicing to this day); Carolin Shaw because I recently fell in love with her music, same with Anna Meredith's FIBS.
Suche bei Apple Music nach einem deiner eigenen Titel, den du liebst. Erzähle uns, was ihn besonders macht. Lass uns wissen, warum du diesen Titel ausgewählt hast. “Humming Bird” This is actually a live improvisation which I was first hesitant to record in the first place. But the result was one of my favorite tracks to date. Especially the rework for string quartet is something I'm really proud of!
Was ist einer der denkwürdigsten Momente in deiner bisherigen Karriere? Recording my music with ensembles and orchestras! This is always incredibly liberating and simply beautifully surreal! After so much self-doubt and stress; Sitting in a room with real, breathing musicians, recording my music... is just incredible.
Gibt es irgendetwas, das du/ihr als Künstler:in oder Band noch auf deiner/eurer Wunschliste hast/habt? I would love to tour with my piano and a string quartet and bring my music live to all of you out there. It will happen, don't know when yet, but it will happen! :)
