Eicca Toppinen, Max Lilja, Antero Manninen und Paavo Lotjonen; 1993 gegründet. Die Band erregte 1996 mit Plays Metallica by Four Cellos internationales Aufsehen, das ihre formale klassische Orchesterausbildung mit ihrer Vorliebe für Hard Rock und Heavy Metal vereinte. Das Album wurde sowohl von Klassikfreunden als auch Metal-Heads angenommen und führte zu einer ungewöhnlichen Karriere, bei der sich die Besetzung talentierter Musiker häufig änderte, Sänger, Kontrabass und Schlagzeug zur Band dazukamen und eigene Songs eingespielt wurden. Ab und an wurde aus alter Tradition eine Cover-Version als Bonbon dazu gegeben. ~ Jason Ankeny
