Das kroatische Cellisten-Duo 2Cellos besteht aus den beiden Freunden Luka Šulić (*1987) und Stjepan Hauser (*1986), die sich an der Universität Zagreb kennenlernten. Die Band wurde mit einem ins Netz gestellten Cover von Michael Jacksons "Smooth Criminal" bekannt, dessen Popularität 2010 zu einem Vertrag bei Sony Masterworks führte. Auf ihrem 2011 veröffentlichten selbstbetitelten Debütalbum coverten sie zahlreiche Rockmusiker im Cello-Stil, von U2 über Kings of Leon hin zu Nine Inch Nails. Auf dem Nachfolger In2ition von 2013 ging die Bandbreite von AC/DC bis Coldplay, das dritte Album Celloverse von 2015 knöpfte sich unter anderem Iron Maiden und Mumford & Sons vor. Für ihr viertes Album Score konzentrierten sich 2Cellos 2017 auf Film- und TV-Musiken von Titanic bis Game of Thrones und arbeiteten dafür mit dem London Symphony Orchestra zusammen.
